The 15-mile Southport Connector Expressway would help alleviate snarled traffic resulting from continuing growth in Osceola County. In addition to the elevated expressway\, some proposed improvements would include the following:\n\n	Widening Cypress Parkway to six lanes from Poinciana Parkway to Pleasant Hill Road\n	Upgrading eight intersections\n	Building a multi-use path on both sides of Cypress Parkway for enhanced pedestrian and cyclist safety\n	Reviewing noise\, lighting\, and other potential impacts\n	Considering landscaping and aesthetic treatments to improve the look of this much-needed facility for the community
