Explore more than 500 years of history at the Osceola County Welcome Center & History Museum. Exhibits demonstrate the evolution of the regional environment, early Seminole life, wildlife in the Florida pines and swamps, and the rise of modern transportation and tourism. Free Admission. The Welcome Center also provides information about area attractions.
At the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek visitors discover what life was like when Central Florida was known for its citrus groves and cattle ranches. Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek tells the story of some of Osceola County’s early settlers from the 1880s to the early 1900s. Guided tours available on select days. Admission Fee. Each November the village hosts a free Pioneer Day festival.
